Why Brasov:

• BraÈ™ov is located in the central part of Romania, about 165 km north of Bucharest. It is surrounded by the Southern Carpathians and is part of the historical region of Transylvania.

• Today, Brasov has approximately 300,000 inhabitants.

• Brasov has a rich history in metal production. At the end of the 20th century, Brasov had several large factories,as:

- Tractorul: A major manufacturer of agricultural machinery and tractors.
- Uzina 23 August: A factory for mechanical engineering and industrial equipment.
- Uzina Steagul Rosu: Specialized in steel production and metalworking.
- IAR Brasov: An aircraft factory that produced military and civilian aircraft.

• These factories contributed to the industrial history of the city of Brasov and played an important role in the region's economy. As a result, the Brasov region still has artisanal craftsmanship, knowledge and precision skills in the metal industry.

• In the late Middle Ages, Brasov was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and German colonists were asked to defend the border with the Ottoman Empire.

• At the same time, they implemented trade and craftsmanship in the Brasov area. To this day, the influences of the German settlers, known here as Transylvanian Saxons, are noticeable.

• Brasov played a crucial role in the trade routes between the Ottoman Empire and the West.
• In 1850, more than 40% of Brasov's population consisted of German settlers.
• Our production facility is located in Brasov, the center of Romania.
• Weekly transports from Brasov to Western Europe.
